Nano-structuring and Surface Functionalisation

Controlling mass transport and confinement via nanostructuration and surface functionalisation

We develop new nanostructured catalysts inspired by biological strategies to harvest poorly soluble gases, to confine reaction intermediates or to control the local availability of substrates. The strategies for the design of such materials encompass electrodeposition of dendritic metallic structures on conductive porous supports, as well as surface modification strategies to modulate hydrophobicity and hydrophilicity of materials.
